John W. Reed Memorial Scholarship and Bill Rosenfeld Memorial Scholarship
2024 Rules and Guidelines
1. Applicant must work full time for a member store in good standing with the GJA.
2. Applicant may only apply through a member store under their recommendation.
3. Applicant may apply only once a year.
4. Applicant must have a minimum of two years’ experience in the jewelry profession.
5. Applicant should be at least 18 years of age.
6. Applicant may use GJA scholarship funds for courses through AGS or GIA master jeweler or gemology courses or other approved jewelry training facility.
7. Applicant may not use GJA scholarship funds for courses they are already enrolled in.
8. Scholarship funds will be paid to GIA, AGS or other jewelry training facility directly by GJA on the student’s behalf.
9. Funding will be limited to $500.00 per scholarship.
10. Only one application and one applicant per store each year. Store must be member of GJA for minimum of one year to be eligible to apply.
11. A letter of recommendation from the store owner or manager must accompany the application requesting the scholarship.
12. A letter from the applicant must accompany the application requesting the scholarship.
13. Applicant must begin the course within 12 months of receiving a scholarship from G.J.A.
14. Applications should be mailed to the GJA office attention Scholarship Committee.
